Help catch this scumbag named Dr. Emilio Luna - An Arizona pediatrician child predator!!!

Emilio Luna
A federal grand jury indicted Dr. Emilio Luna, 40, on five counts of distributing child pornography in interstate commerce.

Luna was arrested last Wednesday after federal investigators accuse him of sharing images that depict sexual exploitive photos of children as well as men engaging in sexual acts with minors under the username "Speeedi69" on a public file sharing website, according to a federal criminal complaint.

Federal agents are still trying to determine if any of the pictures depicted patients from his west Phoenix practice.

FBI agents discovered the pornographic images and traced the username IP address back to Luna's home in Sun City. The FBI executed a search warrant of his home last Tuesday.

The federal agents seized two laptops and a desktop computer, four external hard drives and approximately 300 DVDs, some of which were encrypted. Investigators also found multiple passports and approximately $15,550 in a file folder in his closet.

Luna was released on Friday under the conditions that he surrenders his passports, wear an electronic monitoring device and not have any contact with children or access to the internet.

Luna also signed a voluntary practice restriction Friday on his medical license with the Arizona Medical Board. The restriction essentially bars Luna from practicing medicine in Arizona indefinitely, according to Arizona Medical Board Executive Director Lisa Wynn.

A conviction for distributing child pornography carries a minimum of five years and a maximum of twenty years in prison, a $250,000 fine or both for each count of conviction, according to U.S. Attorney District of Arizona Public Affairs official, Wyn Hornbuckle.

"We will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to deny predators a safe haven in cyber space," U.S. Attorney Dennis K. Burke said.

Luna graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with his medical degree in 1996. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, Calif.

He had been practicing pediatrics for over 10 years in California and Texas before working with Desert Valley Pediatrics since January of this year, according to the Desert Valley Pediatrics website.

Desert Valley Pediatrics issued a statement last Friday, saying its pediatricians "are disgusted by the allegations, which are against every belief that we as pediatricians hold dear. We are committed to the safety and well-being of our patients and take our responsibilities to protect them very seriously.

"With that in mind, we have contacted law enforcement to offer our full cooperation with any ongoing investigation."

A valley pediatrician accused of owning child pornography is on the run after cutting off his monitoring bracelet.
Police are searching for Dr. Emilio Luna. Even though he was under house arrest, Luna was allowed to go to church and that's where he made his getaway.
Police found his car, along with bolt cutters and his electronic monitoring device in the parking lot of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Glendale.
Authorities believe the Mexican native may have fled south of the border.

The judge in this case should be named publicly and questioned as to why in the world anyone brought up on these types of charges with this much evidence is ever released on bond! In the future I think all judges who let people in this type of situation out on bond should be made to put up thier own homes and/or money as collateral. Let's see how many dirt bags get released on bond once this happens...makes me sick! How could any judge who is supposed to uphold the law and protect people from predators like this Dr. Luna let him enjoy the comfort of freedom after so much evidence was found pointing to his ultimate guilt?!?!?
