Arizona weather officials are warning that the potential is high for a significant wildfire to start because of high winds and possible lightning strikes without rain.
Parts of Gila County and the Tonto National Forest are expected to see thunderstorms with lightning but little potential for rain through Wednesday.
Winds are expected to reach up to 40 mph.
If lightning ignites a fire on dry vegetation, officials fear the high winds could cause it to grow fast and out-of-control.
Meanwhile, record or near-record temperatures are expected on Sunday and Monday in the Phoenix area, the state's western deserts and the greater Yuma area.
It's expected to reach 106 degrees on Monday.

HOT HOT HOT
Today is even more hot than yesterday, lol! Last I looked the temperature was at 106!
I thought I heard on the news last night that we were close to breaking some type of heat record. Something about yesterday being the 27th day and that if it continues to be this hot we will surely beat this record by the end of today. I don't know if it's about the temperature alone or if it's a consecutive day thing.
God bless A/C hahahahaha!!!

Another hot day today!
This week has been pretty hot. I guess I got spoiled the last few weeks when it was a little cooler. It's funny to think that 90-95 is cooler, but today is going to reach 110 degrees!
I'll be staying inside today with the A/C turned on :)
