Alfredo Torres, 25, is accused of breaking into the home of a 16-year-old girl and sexually abusing her on Jan. 27. He has not been located.
According to Tim Gaffney with the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, Torres and family members have threatened to call federal authorities to have the victim and her family deported if she prosecutes.
Gaffney said the victim called the sheriff's office Wednesday afternoon to report that shots were fired at her home. Deputies were unable to locate any bullet holes or casings.
The victim's younger brother told deputies that Torres' uncle, Frank Gutierrez Torres Jr., 52, had told him that he would have the entire family deported if his sister prosecutes Alfredo.
Deputies located Frank Torres, who reportedly asked them, "Why is she having the charges done, because it happened a long time ago." He also said, "Border Patrol should be called on them, I have connections at Border Patrol."
He was booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center for one count of influencing witness testimony and one count of threatening and intimidating.
Alfredo Torres is also accused of abusing another 16-year-old in Yavapai County. The sheriff's office is asking for the public's help to locate him.
Torres is described as a Hispanic male with a thin build, short black hair and a goatee. He has tattoos on his chest of guns and marijuana and a rosary tattoo around his neck.

Anyone with any information regarding Torres' whereabouts is asked to call 911.
