Robber hits jewelry store at Arizona Mills but is caught

Tempe police say a male suspect who appeared to be in his 20's robbed Capri Jewelry shortly before 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30th.

Investigators say the suspect flashed a gun to a store clerk and asked that the display case be opened. He then allegedly jumped over the counter, knocking over the female sales clerk. The suspect proceeded to kick the woman before grabbing the jewelry and fleeing.

Police say a security guard saw the suspect leaving the store and chased him.

An undercover officer caught up with the suspect at a nearby trailer park, where he was found hiding under a trailer.
