PHOENIX -- Bond for a Phoenix homicide detective arrested on charges of child pornography has been set at $25,000.
Michael Polk, 50, faces 10 counts of sexual explotation of a minor. The charges come after an investigation into Internet child porngraphy.
According to court documents, investigators found downloaded videos on Polk's home computer. Those videos reportedly featured children, some younger than 15, engaging in sex acts.
Polk, who lives in Surprise, has been with the Phoenix Police Department for more than25 years.
ORIGINAL REPORT PHOENIX - A Phoenix Police homicide detective has been arrested on child porn charges. Detective Mike Polk is a 27-year veteran of the force. He was arrested late Wednesday afternoon. So far the police department has not released the details of his arrest. Polk has been involved in some high-profile murder investigations. He has been on television featured on the A&E reality show, "The First 48". The show follows murder investigations in major cities around the country. Polk was featured in at least two episodes.
