A Scottsdale man is being hailed as a hero after he saved his neighbor from his burning house.It happened at this house near 68th Street and Earll Road, which is north of Thomas Road.
House a total loss One man who was living inside the house apparently saw the flames and got out of the house, but his roommate was trapped in his room.
He was trying to break the window so he could get out when his neighbor came to his rescue.
“I was at a Circle K and I saw the fire and I happened to know the owner of the house so I ran up on it and the owner of the house luckily was not in the house but his roommate was so I helped him out the window,” said Ian Mudgette.
The rescuer just had some cuts and burns, but the roommate had to be taken into the hospital.
The house was a total loss.
An investigation is underway into what sparked the fire.
