The latest official update, (as of May 2nd), from the state health department concerning the swine flu was good news.
County and state health officials are keeping a close eye on the flu numbers and they like what they see. It was revealed Friday that the four kids in Arizona that have been diagnosed with the H1N1 virus have no links to any traveling.
This means that the so called 'swine flu' may have already come to Arizona; but people just did not know it. Some health officials say that the H1N1 virus has been acting more like a seasonal flu, and that it may have been ‘bouncing’ around between people for a while.
Despite this, people are still packing local emergency rooms. Hospitals have reported an increase in volume, and one spokesperson said that most patients are not actually ill.
So, health officials are advising that unless a trip to the hospital would have been necessary before all the swine flu news broke, it might be a better idea to just stay home.
