Jack Lane with DPS said anyone can help out. "If you see an impaired driver, call 911. Let us know," he said.
According to authorities, 40 percent of Arizona traffic and boating deaths involve alcohol.
"We're gonna be out there," Lane said. "We've got several DUI sobriety checkpoints that will be out there. Obviously our task forces and mobile patrols are gonna be there."
He urged people to use designated drivers. "Bottom line is: use the designated drivers," he said. "Please use the designated drivers. We have to stop the killings on the roads."
Lets all hope this makes a few more people stay home after drinking to much or call a cab etc.!
Never, ever drink and drive. I can never stress that enough. You think you have been lucky time after time, but eventually it WILL catch up to you.
