Guadalupe residents to decide who will police their streets

Residents in Guadalupe have a tough decision ahead of them and it must be made within 180 days.

There seem to be more questions than answers as the town met to discuss who will police their streets.

This comes after the mayor got into a dispute with Sheriff Joe Arpaio over his crime suppression operations in the area. At this time there appears to be no clear-cut solution. The mayor of Guadalupe tells 3TV she wants a police department that is respectful of all human beings, regardless of citizenship. She also says she wants law enforcement that treats people with dignity.

Many residents say they do not care who patrols the streets, as long as they are protected and kept safe. Community members will gather to talk about law enforcement options because crime is a big problem in Guadalupe and one that residents want solved.

This is hilarious! I love it! The people of Guadalupe need to wake up and figure out that you can't break the law or ask the police to look the other way when your a known town that harbors illegals! Have fun trying to find anyone that wants to patrol your area now.
