The price of oil continues to hit record highs and we see that at the pump. But why they don't seem to go down nearly as fast?
The biggest issue seems to be stability. "Anything can happen. So prices can shoot back up tomorrow, or they could fall a little bit more. And if continue to see them fall or stabilizes, that's when we'll see prices drop."
Michelle Denotty with AAA Arizona says the gas station owners actually absorb a lot of the increases, which is why they can't really lower the prices immediately. They're trying to make up the difference.
So, here in Arizona are we going to see a bigger price increase?
"We are not forecasting $4 a gallon," says Denotty. However, she adds that a pipeline break or a different war breaks out, all bets are off.
