Sheriff Joe Arpaio's deputies performed a human smuggler search in the West Valley Wednesday, August 13th, which netted 22 arrests.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's office, 100 deputies and posse members hit "well known smuggling routes" to arrest law violators, including immigration law breakers.
The Sheriff's office says that they have received more than $36,000 in private donations to support the sheriff's sweeps.
The sheriff's department has also done crime sweeps in Phoenix and Guadalupe.
To-date the sweeps have netted 95 arrests under the human smuggling law.
