A homicide victim discovered by an ATV rider has been identified.
The body of Matthew R. Hrabina, 33, a resident of Black Canyon City, was found Tuesday near Bumble Bee Road, about three miles off of Interstate 17. According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office he suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was likely killed in the location where his body was discovered.
YCSO received a phone call from the ATV rider Monday afternoon before leading deputies to the body, which was in the Big Bug Creek bed.
Sheriff’s deputies are continuing to investigate the case and have not identified a motive at this time.
Detectives are asking anyone who might have seen a 2000 white Chevy Avalanche that was registered to Hrabina in the area between Sunday and Monday afternoon to contact the sheriff’s department.
