Court decision is a joke!

A jury found Marcos Ontiveros not guilty Friday on charges relating to the 2005 Subway restaurant murders.

Prosecutors alleged Ontiveros was the so-called getaway driver in the shootings that killed two employees during an armed robbery at a Subway at 43rd Avenue and McDowell Road.

A jury convicted Jesus Jara of first-degree felony murder and armed robbery in August. Jose Bustos changed his plea to guilty in the case in July.

Ontiveros, who was 15 at the time of the killings, was found not guilty of two counts of first-degree murder and one count of armed robbery.

What in the world is the court system thinking here? The jury has to be insane! This is crazy! This fool was the driver for two punks who killed two other "kids" who were working like productive citizens.

  1. Actually, there was no evidence that Marcos was the getaway driver. In fact, the prosecution never presented that he was the getaway driver in the case. Marcos was in the backseat and did not have the keys to the car. Four witnesses also gave testimony that they watched the shooter in the case, leave the subway and run back to the car and get into the driver’s seat and drive away. You should get your facts straight before posting inaccurate information on your blog.

  2. Oh I see, since he was not the driver he should not face any charges for what he was a part of. WRONG! Are you trying to tell me that this kid didn't know what his friends were going to do? That he was an innocent victim just like the subway worker kids?

I think it must have been people like you on the jury! You disrespect the families of the murdered kids, and yes I said kids. They had everything going for them and were working to make something better for themselves and here come these 3 idiots to ruin all that. So, after all is said and done you think we should spare the life of some loser who took part in the murder of innocent kids. I hope you can still justify the court decision in your head, sorry I can't ad that's the facts.

  3. Okay, so you are first of all an idiot. You have no idea what had happened there. Those people that, Marcos was with, probably thought they were going to get food, he wasn't paying attention to what was going on there and heard gunshots. They came running out and sped off. I'm sure he didn't praise them for what they did. But in fact he probably hated them for what they did to both those kids and his life. What if you were in a car waiting for your friends to get food or whatever and they end up killing someone and YOU get charged for the murder as well. None of us knew what the hell actually happened. That's why you have to keep all ideas of what might have happened, open. I hope you never are called to jury duty. Because you'll probably get someone thrown in jail for something they didn't do just because you want to jump the gun and throw people, whoever they are, in jail who could possibly be wrongfully accused.
