D-Backs 3 game sweep!

The secret is out: The Arizona Diamondbacks are a darn good baseball team.
The D-backs seemed to fly under the radar heading into the postseason, but after they completed a three-game National League Division Series sweep of the Cubs with a 5-1 win Saturday night, they can no longer hide.
Certainly, their opponent in the NL Championship Series, the Colorado Rockies, will know that the NL-best 90 wins the D-backs compiled were no fluke.
I know the D-Backs are going all the way!!!

D-Backs on their way!
Our hometown boys are playing game 3 right this second and winning by a score of 2-0 against the Chicago Cubs.
Keep it up Diamondbacks! You can win this!!!
Made in China scares!
I hope our Government quickly steps in and does something about this horrible problem. We can't be having millions of toy recalls every month and still think it's ok to buy from China.
This is a scary situation that needs to handled fast!

Dog owners beware, a new leash law is in effect.
Phoenix dog owners now have keep their pups on a leash, unless their paperwork's in order. That's because a dog leash law forbid any dogs from roaming without a leash or being in a cage. However in a city council vote a new ordinance amends that old leash law.
With these revisions it allows those owners with dogs that are responsible and have some extensive training to do some training in parks. However this ordinance does nothing for the average dog owner training their pooch.
So who is going to police this new leash law? Park rangers will require proof. None of this applies to dog parks and owners can still allow their pooches to roam freely there.
Now if you're caught with your dog off the leash at a public park the citations vary from $50 to $500.
This new ordinance will be enacted in 30 days.
Game 2 -vs- the Cubs tonight at 7 pm MST
GO D-BACKS!!!
Arizona Diamondbacks win game 1!!!
Arizona Diamondbacks win their first game of the National League Division Series at Chase Field against the Chicago Cubs!It was a great start for the Diamondbacks as they took down Chicago 3-1.
Brandon Webb won the duel in the desert. Webb shut down the Chicago Cubs with his superb sinker, and the young Arizona Diamondbacks got home runs from two of their kids in a 3-1 victory Wednesday night in their NL playoff opener.
Stephen Drew homered in the fourth off Chicago ace Carlos Zambrano, who was pulled after six innings and only 85 pitches. Right after he left, Mark Reynolds homered on the fourth pitch from reliever Carlos Marmol to break a 1-all tie in the seventh. Pinch-hitter Conor Jackson added a sacrifice fly, and the Diamondbacks got two scoreless innings from their strong bullpen. Webb, the reigning NL Cy Young Award winner, allowed four hits and struck out nine over seven outstanding innings in his postseason debut. He walked three and hit a batter.``The most exciting game so far,'' Webb said. ``I was able to keep them off-balance. I had pretty good stuff tonight, great off-speed. Had some great strikeouts, key situations.'' Game 2 is Thursday night, with Ted Lilly on the mound for Chicago against Doug Davis.Zambrano gave up four hits, struck out eight and walked one before he was pulled by manager Lou Piniella in a move that could be questioned. Before the game, Piniella said he likely would limit Zambrano's pitch count because he would probably bring him back on three days' rest to pitch Game 4 on Sunday. Piniella said he trusted his bullpen to take over. But planning for Game 4 might have cost the Cubs in Game 1. The showdown between 18-game winners was as advertised, with Zambrano matching Webb pitch for pitch through six innings. With Zambrano gone, the Diamondbacks went ahead in the seventh. Reynolds hit Marmol's 2-1 pitch just over the left-field fence for a 2-1 lead. Chris Snyder walked and went to third on Augie Ojeda's single before Jackson came through while batting for Webb.

Glock 22C - Good times in the desert!
Last weekend a we went to a remote location in the desert for some shotting fun. We were testing out a friend of mines new Glock 22 C, .40 caliber handgun. What a nice gun! Fun to shoot and not as loud as I expected. The "C" in the model number means it is ported on the top. See the image to the left and how the flame is coming out from the the top...thats the porting holes. his helps to reduce the recoil and provide better accuracy.
We must have went through 200 hundred rounds shooting this nice gun and never got tired of it.
Price wise it's a steal if you look around a bit. I think I'm going to be getting one just like it here soon. Great for home protection as well a day of plinking in the desert. With a gun like Glock you can't go wrong.
Way to go D-Backs!
A great job by our very own Arizona Diamondbacks to become the 2007 NL West Champions! The series begins today with AZ D-Backs -vs- Cubs.Nobody seems too sure which team is the underdog between the Cubs and Diamondbacks. One thing is certain. Each club will have its horse going in Game 1 when Carlos Zambrano faces Brandon Webb tonight in Arizona at 7:00 p.m. MST on TBS.
On the surface, the D-backs would be the logical favorites. They led the National League in victories with 90. The Cubs won 85. The teams played head-to-head six times during the regular season. Arizona won four. The Diamondbacks have the coveted home-field advantage.
